Materials. Craft. Meaning.
At ÎLE KEKERE, jewellery is made with intention and restraint.
Every material, finish, and decision is chosen deliberately. Not for trend, but for longevity.
This page sets out how our pieces are made, and why that matters.
Jewellery with meaning, made wearable.
Built for repeat wear.
THE FOUNDATION.
MATERIALS
Chosen for clarity and durability
CRAFT
Design-led. Human finished
MEANING
Symbolic, not mystical
CRAFT IS OUR STANDARD.
At ÎLE KEKERE, craft begins before anything is made.
We design for proportion, comfort, and repeat wear. Each piece is resolved like an object, not styled like an accessory. Forms are refined until they feel inevitable.
We test decisions in three places:
Balance: how the piece sits, moves, and wears through a full day
Tolerance: how components align, close, and hold under regular use
Finish: how surfaces wear over time, and how they age quietly
This is where restraint shows.
Not in extra detail, but in what is left out.
What this means for you
Clean, resolved silhouettes that do not date quickly
Comfort-led proportions and considered weight
Jewellery designed to hold up to real wear, not occasional wear
DESIGN LED, HUMAN FINISHED.
Every ÎLE KEKERE piece is assembled and finished by hand.
Hand crafting, for us, is not about decoration or excess. It is about restraint, knowing when a form is resolved, and when a piece is complete.
Each bracelet, necklace, or earring is handled individually during assembly and finishing. Stones are set deliberately. Spacers and hardware are aligned by eye, not by machine tolerance alone.
This approach allows for control, consistency, and attention that automated production cannot offer.
The result is jewellery that feels intentional rather than mass-produced.
Balanced. Considered. Designed to be worn repeatedly.
What hand crafted means at ÎLE KEKERE
Individual handling at each stage of assembly
Visual alignment and finishing by hand
Final quality check before leaving the studio
This approach prioritises proportion and feel over speed.
MATERIALS.
LAB-GROWN GEMSTONES.
Our gemstones are lab-grown.
They share the same physical, optical, and chemical properties as mined stones, without the environmental and ethical cost of extraction.
We choose lab-grown stones for clarity, consistency, and control.
They allow us to design with precision , colour, cut, and proportion are intentional, not left to chance.
Lab-grown gemstones support our design process rather than limiting it. Each stone is selected to sit correctly within the form, wear comfortably, and hold its finish through repeated use.
What this means for you
Consistent colour and finish across collections
Reduced environmental impact
Stones chosen for everyday wear, not fragility
Meaning is applied symbolically.
Gemstones act as anchors. Reminders you choose to wear, not promises made to you.
METALS & FINISHES.
We work with stainless steel, silver vermeil, and gold-plated brass.
Each metal is selected based on how it behaves over time — how it wears against skin, how it holds structure, and how it responds to regular use.
Our finishes are designed to age quietly, not dramatically.
We prioritise balance, weight, and wearability over visual excess. Every piece is considered as an object first, an accessory second.
What this means for you
Jewellery designed to be worn regularly
Considered weight and balance
Materials chosen for longevity, not trend
MEANING, WITHOUT MYSTICISM.
Meaning is built into our designs as a framework, not a belief system.
We reference stones, archetypes, and intention as cultural and emotional cues ; tools for reflection rather than forces acting upon you.
Our jewellery is designed to support how you want to feel.
Nothing more. Nothing promised.
CARE & LONGEVITY.
Our jewellery is made to be worn regularly, with care.
If something is not right due to workmanship within your first 100 days, we will put it right with calm, straightforward support.
Our 100-day aftercare promise covers workmanship and manufacturing faults (e.g., clasps, links, settings)
It does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, water/chemicals or gold plating wear or colour change (we cannot re-plate).
To maintain finish and longevity:
Avoid prolonged exposure to water
Remove before lotions, perfumes, or sprays
Store pieces separately in a dry place
Like all well-made objects, longevity depends on how it is treated.
